Hello world!

I’m Mike Bogan a recovering golfer, a newbie fly fisher, a husband and father of two teenage boys.  I like to think and I’ll use this blog to share some thoughts and the daily events that inspire ideas. I am a consultant in software development and work for a firm called Thinknostic inc.   To understand Thinknostic t is essential to know Peter Lui-Hing one of the founders of the company and the magnet that has attracted a world class team.  Peter’s belief that smart, innovative people combined with cutting-edge technologies can solve the most complex business problems is leading to what I predict will become a very successful software consulting company. Our work environment is a refreshing change from typical consulting firms. We invite full participation from all of our people through a non-hierarchical organizational structure and an open, honest and transparent work environment.  Thinknostic believes strongly that people need to have the best tools to do their best work and they walk the talk as evidenced by my brand new Dell laptop.  I don’t know what the specs are on this thing but my 17 year old sons eyes nearly popped out of his head whey he got hold of it.  I consider most of the people I work with to be technically elite and that makes me a bit of an anomaly in the group.  I might be best described as a project manager, management consultant, business analyst or quality manager of some sort.  The company seems to like having me around and I certainly like being part of the team.

So I’ll use this blog to share my thoughts, lessons learned, some wisdom and the minutia of everyday life in my world.  I hope you find something here that you find useful.
